Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 1 April 2026
1. Service Description
HealthDoc Digital Healthcare Ltd operates an online platform that connects patients with IMC-registered independent general practitioners for private medical consultations, prescription requests, medical certificate issuance, and referral letter generation.
HealthDoc is not a medical device, not an emergency service, and not a substitute for in-person care where clinically indicated. The platform facilitates private, elective healthcare services only.
2. Medical Disclaimer
This platform connects you with IMC-registered independent practitioners. Consultations via this platform are not a substitute for emergency care.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 or 112 immediately or attend your nearest emergency department.
This disclaimer is displayed at the start of every booking flow. By completing a booking, you confirm you understand that this service is not appropriate for emergency or urgent same-day life-threatening conditions.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use another person's account to access the platform or book appointments on their behalf without their knowledge and consent.
- Provide false, misleading, or incomplete information about your symptoms or medical history.
- Misuse the platform to obtain controlled substances or documents for fraudulent purposes.
- Attempt to circumvent security measures or access data belonging to other users.
Violations of acceptable use may result in immediate account suspension and referral to relevant authorities where legally required.
4. Payment Terms
All fees are stated and charged in EUR (Euro). Payment is required at the time of booking unless you are part of a corporate account with invoice billing.
Subscription fees are billed at the start of each billing cycle (monthly or annually). Failed subscription payments result in a 3-day grace period after which access is suspended until payment is received. We will notify you of failed payments by email.
Pay-as-you-go consultation fees are non-refundable once the consultation has commenced, subject to the Cancellation Policy below.
5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are subject to the cancellation window communicated to you at the time of booking. The specific cancellation window (in hours before the appointment) is set by our clinical operations team and may vary.
If you cancel within the permitted window, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method or credit to your HealthDoc wallet.
If you cancel outside the permitted window, a partial refund may be issued in accordance with our refund policy as communicated at the time of booking.
Cancellation policies are subject to change; the policy applicable to your booking is the one displayed during checkout.
6. Refund Policy
Refunds are issued in accordance with the cancellation policy applicable at the time of your booking. Refunds to the original payment method are processed within 5–10 business days. HealthDoc wallet credits are applied immediately.
We will not issue refunds for completed consultations where the service was delivered as described. If you believe a consultation was not delivered appropriately, please contact our support team within 14 days to raise a complaint.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HealthDoc's liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the services is limited to the total amount paid by you for services in the 12 months preceding the claim.
HealthDoc is not liable for: (a) the clinical decisions made by independent IMC-registered practitioners; (b) delays caused by technical failures beyond our reasonable control; (c) indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
9. Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint about our service, please contact our support team at support@healthdoc.health in the first instance. We aim to resolve all complaints within 5 business days.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may escalate to the relevant ombudsman or regulator. For clinical complaints, the relevant body is the Irish Medical Council (medicalcouncil.ie). For consumer disputes, you may seek resolution through the appropriate Irish consumer protection channels.
10. Changes to These Terms
We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes to these terms by email to your registered address. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
